The dates are out for Hexham Book Festival 2025! The festival will run from Friday, 2nd to Sunday 11th May.

This much-loved festival has been running for over 15 years. Hexham Book Festival offers 50+ events spread across ten days, including two weekends.

Why is Hexham such a great place for a book festival?

Hexham is the perfect home for a book festival thanks to its historic architecture, relaxed atmosphere and a great range of cafés, restaurants and pubs. We also have a wonderful independent book shop for you to enjoy called Cogito Books.

Where’s the venue?

The main venue for the book festival is the Queen’s Hall. This elegant building sits right in the centre of Hexham and houses the town’s arts centre. It contains a 380-seat seat theatre, a studio, two galleries, a café plus bars, and the town’s library. The Queen’s Hall offers step-free access plus dedicated seats in the theatre for wheelchair uses.
